Dog Walking:
So many of our dog's problem behaviors are caused by not getting enough exercise. In today's world with everyone having to work long hours it is understandably the case that so many of us are not able to get our pups the exercise they need. For many years now the dog walking industry has been growing and affording people whose busy schedules did not allow for them the opportunity to reap the benefits of canine companionship the ability to do so. Allow us to take the responsibility of physical and mental stimulation, so necessary to the health and general wellbeing of your dog, off of your shoulders. We excel in this regard. Your dog has the opportunity to join us every day for our mid-day Spring Lake journey typically lasting for over an hour. By the end of this routine the majority of our furry friends are more than ready to sleep the rest of the day away.
Dog Boarding:
In today's household our pets are increasingly treated as members of the family, often akin to our own children. They are no longer just a decoration for the family or around to do a specific job. At Canine Constitutional we know this because that's what our clients are doing and in fact so are we. It's this understanding that guarantees Fluffy an experience he or she will get in no other boarding environment. While we do have crates available for dogs on specific schedules or training regimes, we board dogs in a crate free home environment. You will never be charged extra for social, mental, or physical stimulation. We already have your dog in our care, we may as well do the job right.
Our primary customer base is in Santa Rosa, from where we shuttle dogs to our 5-acre fully fenced property in Lake County. We live on site with our boarding dogs.
Dog Training:
One of the biggest reasons so many dogs fill our animal shelters is not so much due to an overpopulation problem but instead a lack of proper training and socialization. These problems are typically compounded by a lack of exercise. Take the opportunity to sit down with us and discuss our tried and proven relationship-based training methods as we work towards both understanding the why of problem behaviors and the how of changing those behaviors. After all, you can go to bed tonight and rest assured that your dogs have absolutely no problem at all with the behaviors they offer. Steve Moore got started training dogs using punishment-based training methods but has since moved on too much healthier scientifically backed force free and relationship-based training. This has proven to be far more successful for a much wider range of pet owners. Steve has Associate and Bachelor of Science degrees in the study of matters related to the domestic dog from Bergin University for Canine Studies, is a certified canine trainer and behaviorist through the Animal Behavior Institute. As of 2024 he is working on his master's degree in animal science and behavior. While we do believe that no one method can solve every problem with every dog, we have yet to encounter a dog that needed to be abused into submission to accomplish the task at hand.
